LaFlora Creations was born from love, challenges, and a deep desire to create a healthier, happier home for my dogs.

It all started 7½ years ago when I rescued my sweet lab mix, Kobe. He had a rough start in life — tummy troubles, ear infections, skin allergies… You name it, we faced it together. To help him thrive, I began blending his kibble with homemade meals, which eventually led me to baking my own wholesome treats.

Three years later, I rescued Gia — my spunky, lovable picky eater — and she sealed my passion for creating treats that even the choosiest pups adore.

I’ve also always loved candles — especially cozy seasonal scents that make a house feel like home. But I quickly discovered that many store-bought candles could trigger allergies and aren’t safe for our pets. I learned the hard way that not all candles are created equal, and not all scents are safe for our pets.

Here’s what I found:

• Many candles are made with paraffin wax, which releases harmful chemicals like toluene and benzene when burned. These can irritate sensitive lungs and noses — especially for pets.

• Certain essential oils are toxic to dogs, causing anything from skin irritation to serious illness. Only a few gentle scents like vanilla, lavender, and coconut are truly safe for them.

So I researched, experimented, and created a way to enjoy the comfort of a candle without the worry — using clean-burning, pet-safe ingredients and gentle, non-toxic scents.

Today, La Flora Creations offers wholesome treats and pet-safe candles that let you fill your home with love and fresh scents, while keeping your furry family safe. Because a cozy home should be safe for every family member — especially the four-legged ones.
